The Weeknd has dropped an official video for “Snowchild”, a track off of his monster and highly acclaimed album After Hours. Directed by the D’ART Shtajio studio, the first black-owned Japanese animation studio in Japan, the video is an anime-styled short that takes you through various chapters of Abel Tesfaye’s music career; from House of Balloons to the present.

A fan of many types of animation you can see the platinum-selling, GRAMMY Award-winning artist make an appearance on the season 10 finale of Robot Chicken this Sunday, July 26th – it’s 200th-anniversary episode. It’s his second appearance as a voice actor this year, the first being for an American Dad! episode that he also co-wrote.

After Hours has dominated with Rolling Stone declaring it as the biggest album of the first half of 2020. Internationally “Blinding Lights”, the second single from the album, is officially the biggest song of the year in the UK and Germany and spent 4 weeks at #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in the US.
